Certification Course Certificates of completion are given to all students and while your Certificate may not be formally recognised by any governing bodies, remember that a certificate isn’t going to get you any jobs! Your passion, personality and talent is what gets you in the door in this industry. Doing a film course doesn’t guarantee you of a film career. It is very competitive and tough out there. Not everyone who does a film course makes it into the industry. Not for the faint hearted! Long hours, many sacrifices and very gruelling work means many people decide to pack it in shortly after they join the industry. Most people who graduate from my courses are still required to start at the bottom of the industry as juniors. But starting as a junior with some basic training still means you have 3 years on the guys attending University because once they graduate with their big degrees they also have to start at the bottom! I encourage all my students to work on as many student films as possible, as these all count for credits on your resume.
