AUTEUR FILM SCHOOL was established in February 2006 in Johannesburg, South AFrica by filmmaker, Amour Setter.
The school offers correspondence courses in several film-related subjects.

Principal of Auteur Film School, Amour Setter, has been actively involved in the film industry since 1991. She has produced and directed numerous productions including TV Commercials, Music Videos, TV dramas, Documentaries and TV Commercials for the local and international markets. Amour is still actively involved in the film industry,and currently works as a Commercials Director in both SA and South East Asia.
Our courses are all hands-on, practical and encourage the aspiring filmmaker to become deeply involved in the process of film-making. The guerrilla-style approach of the courses ensure that the students graduate with a strong foundation in the craft of film-making. The course material is current and very easy to understand and apply. Students receive monthly Modules and Assignments, which Amour personally marks. For the more advanced courses Amour engages in group discussions and one-on-one mentoring through Skype conferences and interactions, which means that she can communicate with her students from anywhere in the world without breaking the momentum of their courses.
